CEPOVETT Safety continues its investment in PPE dedicated to plant protection products

Two years after having collaborated together to develop PPE clothing for the protection of operators, leading to the marketing of 2 suits certified according to the ISO 27065 standard (PHYTO CONFORT and PHYTO PROTEC suits), BASF Division Agro and CEPOVETT SAFETY are interested in the protection of agricultural workers during the re-entry work in the treated plots.

BASF and CEPOVETT SAFETY have therefore designed a prototype consisting of a long-sleeved polo shirt and long pants made from an ISO 27065 certified fabric. A major “wear test” was conducted during the spring and summer of 2018 with farmworkers. This test, accompanied by a satisfaction questionnaire, enabled us to obtain the opinions and comments of 65 wearers, including 33 men and 32 women.

The integration of this feedback has led to the certification of a polo shirt and pants set, with a modern look and a light, French, water-repellent fabric offering in addition a UV protection. It is also the first PPE clothing set with a man’s cut and a woman’s cut in 6 sizes, equipped with pockets and certified for 30 household washes at 40°C. An airy mesh back also enhances comfort.
